Welcome to the Storrs Summer Reading Program: June 8-August 8, 2026!
The goal of our Summer Reading Program is to encourage reading, belonging, and community while having fun all summer! This summer, in conjunction with our many partners, we are sponsoring intriguing performances, historical presentations, lawn programs & games, adult crafts, and much more this summer. Directions
Every time you use the Library, you can receive 1 Summer Ticket. Tickets will be handed out at the Front Desk.
In addition, this year patrons will be able to fill out a BINGO sheet to earn tickets. Patrons can earn 1 ticket for every cell completed in a pattern (rows, columns, diagonals, 4 corners, etc.), however the free cell in the middle does not count.
How To Earn Summer Tickets
Adults can earn summer tickets by doing any of the following activities:
– checking out items
– attending programs
– using the computers
– browsing our collection
– reading the newspaper, etc.
How to Redeem Summer Tickets
Summer Tickets can be used to enter our Summer Gift Basket Raffles.
Raffles
The drawing for all raffles will take place on August 10. Make sure all your Summer Tickets have been submitted by August 8. This year we will be drawing winners for a selection of gift cards and gift baskets.
The 2026 Statewide Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Storrs Library, The Massachusetts Regional Library System, the Boston Bruins, & the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Institute of Museum and Library Services with support from the National Women’s Hockey League team Boston Pride.
